Sports, social activities and excursions

These activities are organised and run by our group leaders (sometimes together with group leaders provided by a language travel agent).Here are some of the activities that we are able to run for our Junior students:

Football / Basketball / Volleyball / Snooker / Bowling / Boat discos / Discos / Barbecues / DVD shows / Lectures and cultural workshops / Visits to places of local interest (eg. museums, parks) / Karaoke / Swimming / International food parties etc.

Excursions

Excursions are normally organised with a local travel company.One or more ETC International College group leaders will accompany each student group.There are a number of places of cultural and historical interest that students may be able to visit, including:

London (shopping and sightseeing or visits to museums) / Bath (including a visit to the Roman Baths) /

Oxford / Windsor (including Windsor Castle) / Salisbury and Stonehenge / Swanage and Corfe Castle /

Portsmouth / Poole / Christchurch / The New Forest / Purbeck and Lulworth Cove / Stratford Upon Avon (the home of Shakespeare) / Brownsea Island, etc.

A Typical Day at ETC International College

07.30 – 08.00 Breakfast with host family.

08.15 – 08.40 Public transport or private door-to-doortransport to the college.

09.00 – 10.30 English language tuition.

10.30 – 11.00 Break.Chat with friends in the college café.

11.00 – 12.30 English language tuition.

12.30 – 13.30 Lunch at the college café.

13.30 – 17.30 Afternoon activities / half-day excursion.For example, a trip to Swanage and Corfe Castle.

18.00 – 18.45 Evening meal with host family.

19.00 – 22.00 Evening activity (when scheduled.Eg. barbecue at the college) or free time.
