Bournemouth
General Info
Situated on the South coast of England just two hours from London, Bournemouth is a long established tourist destination and attracts visitors from the U.K and abroad. Famous for its sandy beaches, cosmopolitan atmosphere and beautiful gardens, Bournemouth blends a traditional British seaside resort with a forward looking, thriving town.

With a population of just over 163,000 people, Bournemouth is large enough to have all the facilities of a big town but small enough to make you feel at home. It has some of the best beaches in the UK and has won the European Blue Flag Awards, a sign of clean, well looked after beaches. During the summer the beach is the focus of the town where you may find pedalos, jet-skis and banana boats for hire. For children, there is a bouncy castle, a land train, a free beach games club and traditional amusements at the pier.
Bournemouth is the perfect location from which to visit the World Heritage coastline of Dorset and the woodland of the New Forest. The mythical Stonehenge is only and hour away by road and Winchester, with its King Arthur connections and beautiful cathedral only forty five minutes. Connections to London and the major airports are easy with daily train and bus links between the two cities. Bournemouth international airport is also becoming increasingly popular as a gateway to European cities such as Prague, Paris and Geneva.
